Anne Lockhart was born Anne Kathleen Maloney, September 6th 1953. She is an American actress. She's best-known as Lieutenant Sheba in the Battlestar Galactica TV series from 1978 to 1979. She is the daughter of the actress June Lockhart. Her grandfather was actor Gene Lockhart. Her career began at a very young age. She was just four years old when her first film role came in T is for Tumbleweed. This film of a short length about subject matter was nominated to win an academy award. A popular rumor is that Anne turned down the role in the film Laurie Strode in John Carpenter's 1978 thriller Halloween which was later recast for Jaime Lee Curtis. Mr. Carpenter says that he would like her to play the role but she declined it down. Anne says she does not recall ever being contacted or given the part by John Carpenter. Perhaps her agent turned the part away without informing Anne. Glen Larson chose her initially and sent her a preliminarily written script. She was to appear in the TV series Battlestar Galactica, which aired in 1978. The character was weak enough to convince her to take on the part. Glen then wrote a script to her, which featured the strong character Sheba. The Living Legend, the first 25 pages of which she had read and was subsequently accepted. The show ran for a single season. Also, she starred alongside Desi Arnaz Jr. Melanie Griffith Robert Carradine, Desi Arnaz (son Desi Arnaz & Lucille ball) in Joyride in 1977.
