Sharon Yvonne Stone (born March 10 in 1959) was born in Meadville Pennsylvania to Dorothy Lawson an accountant and Joseph William Stone Jr. A tool and die manufacturer who had previously employed as a laborer for a manufacturing company. Michael, Kelly, Patrick and Dorothy Lawson are her siblings. Stone was considered to be academically gifted when she started two grades when she was five. In 1975, she graduated from Saegertown high school in Saegertown (Pennsylvania). She also competed winning in the Miss Pennsylvania beauty contest. Stone and her aunt moved to New Jersey to New Jersey in order to pursue a career as a model in the year 1977. They joined the Ford Modeling Agency after a couple of months. Soon after, Stone relocated back to Europe and spent an entire year living in Milan in Italy and Paris. Stone however became disillusioned in Europe with the modelling industry, and decided to venture into acting. At the age of 20, she appeared in Woody Allen's "Stardust Memories," which received mixed praises.
